Terms of Service.

Last updated: October 2026

These terms form a binding agreement between you (the founder or business using Moored) and Allurance Labs, the operator of Moored. By creating an account or integrating our exit flow, you agree to them.

1. What Moored does

Moored is a plug-and-play retention engine. You replace your standard cancellation button with our hosted exit flow; when one of your customers attempts to cancel, we present a rules-based survey and — where your rules allow — execute a retention action (discount, pause, or clean cancellation) against your connected billing provider (Stripe, Paddle, Dodo Payments, or Lemon Squeezy) via its official API.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter contracts. You are responsible for everything done under your account, including API keys you store with us and actions your team members take. Keep your credentials confidential and notify us immediately at allurance.business@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Plans, sessions, and billing

Moored is billed per plan on the number of Monthly Active Cancellation Sessions — each unique customer who enters your exit flow in a billing month. Current tiers are Sandbox ($0, up to 10 sessions), Micro ($7, up to 30), Starter ($29, up to 100), Growth ($79, up to 350), and Enterprise ($249, unlimited). Project limits and feature gates (badge removal, pause API, A/B testing, webhook exports) follow the tier table on our pricing page.

If you exceed your tier's session limit, the exit flow gracefully bypasses to your payment provider's standard cancellation page and we notify you that an upgrade is required. We never silently drop a cancellation: your customer can always leave.

Paid plans renew monthly until cancelled. Cancelling your Moored plan stops future charges; it does not refund the current period except where required by law.

4. Your responsibilities as a merchant

You remain the merchant of record for your own customers. You are responsible for: the cancellation rules you configure (Moored executes them deterministically, exactly as written); the accuracy of offers presented (discount percentages, pause durations); compliance with consumer-protection and auto-renewal laws in every jurisdiction you sell into; and the API keys you provide, which must have only the scopes Moored needs.

5. API keys and security

Payment gateway keys you store per project are encrypted at rest and never exposed to the browser. They are used server-side solely to execute the retention actions your rules trigger. You may rotate or revoke keys at any time from your dashboard; doing so disables live retention actions until fresh keys are saved.

6. Acceptable use

You must not: use Moored to deceive customers or obstruct lawful cancellations (dark patterns are grounds for immediate suspension); attempt to access other tenants' projects, rules, or logs; reverse-engineer usage metering; resell Moored as a standalone service without an enterprise agreement; or use the service in a way that violates your billing provider's terms.

7. Uptime and support

We target high availability for the hosted exit flow but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. If our flow is unreachable, your integration must fall back to your provider's standard cancellation page — our snippet documentation shows exactly how. Support is provided by email with priority following your plan tier.

8. Intellectual property

Moored, its rules engine, dashboard, and branding remain the property of Allurance Labs. Your rules, offers, customer responses, and analytics exports remain yours. The “Powered by Moored” badge on lower tiers is a trademark notice you agree to display while on those tiers.

9. Disclaimers and liability cap

Moored is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Allurance Labs' total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amounts you paid in the three months preceding the claim. We are never liable for lost profits, lost MRR you attribute to us, or indirect damages.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate at any time. You may delete your account from the dashboard; we delete project data, keys, and logs per our retention schedule (see Privacy Policy). We may suspend accounts that breach these terms, abuse metering, or expose customer data.

11. Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the product evolves; material changes will be announced by email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. Questions: allurance.business@gmail.com.
